Why join us
The Lynbrook Residents Association (LRA) is an incorporated association made up of members who reside or have a material interest in Lynbrook.
The Committee is elected at the AGM each year and work together to represent the LRA members and in turn the community to lobby local, state and federal governments whenever required. The LRA strives to keep Lynbrook as the premier suburb in the municipality by keeping current assets in peak condition, constantly improving services and opportunities for the community.
As a member, you will be kept informed of local issues and hopefully you may find some time to get involved in local issues, initiatives or even events run by the LRA. We are always looking for enthusiastic new committee members.
The LRA has a proud history that extends back the start of the Lynbrook estate by Vic Urban. Many local residents have served on the LRA and much of the infrastructure that we enjoy today is thanks to their efforts. The LRA is governed by a constitution and can have up to 18 committee members, including President, Treasurer and Secretary. The committee also has Event and Media management positions.
The LRA Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held annually, at which point all positions are vacated and a new committee elected by the members present.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership of Lynbrook Residents Association is free and open to all residents of Lynbrook (3975), and others who have a material interest in Lynbrook such as owning a business or working within Lynbrook. Members must be 16 years of age or older. Membership comes with no expectations, but a great community thrives when passionate and active community members become involved in local issues, initiatives and events. There is much to be gained for the individual and the community when people come together for a common goal.
Membership of the LRA must be renewed annually. Prior to the AGM, each member will receive an email asking them to confirm if they are happy to continue their membership, as well as an option to nominate a proxy at the AGM, or nominate to be on the committee. If a reply is not received, it will be assumed the member no longer wishes to remain a member of the LRA.
It is asked that members notify the LRA of any change of details so that members can be notified of information as required. New committee members may be voted in at any time, but the total number of committee members at any one time may not exceed 18. Join here
