A quick check of Tim Holding's web site has shown a page discussion the Lynbrook Station now going out to tender. Excerpts from the page include:
Planning for a
new station at Lynbrook is well underway with tenders now being called
for construction firms to build the station through the $220 million New
Stations in Growth Areas program.
Public Transport
Minister Martin Pakula said plans for a new station were on track with
the Department of Transport and Metro Trains now inviting tenders with
construction to start this year.
The new Lynbrook
Station will feature:
passenger
shelters and seating;
bus stops and a
taxi rank;
a park and ride
facility and drop off zone;
electronic
timetable and passenger information displays;

Comment by lratech on 2010-05-26 05:42:20 Hi Srini, Tim Holding is presenting at the May LRA meeting tomorrow (27th). That would be the best time to ask that question. The issue of the crossing has come up before though. I seriously doubt we will get an underpass or overpass. The cost is extremely high. Our best bet is a level crossing, but it appears that is being held up by the train drivers' union. Aylmer Rd was supposed to be the last level crossing in the state but didn't quite happen.
